A great week at Coyle. Weather has not been so nice but plenty of fish being caught both on fly and bait.

The bait pond is fishing really well even though the conditions are not ideal, the fish are still feeding just below the surface but worms and powerbait on the bottom is still working best.

The fly pond is proving more difficult, plenty of fish rising early A.M. and although harder to see the rises with the high winds they are still coming to the surface. Damsels, Hoppers and diawl bach's are working the best, with the odd result with small C.D.C's and nymphs.

The bait pond has been moved over to the main Lochan with good reports from both types of anglers, it has proved a success so far. The small bait pond is under slight maintenance at the moment and will soon be stocked with smaller fish, making it ideal for beginners or those who just fancy a wee change.

On the bait pond, depending on what time of day it is either Powerbait on the bottom is working unbelievably well, if you get no success with that then Powerbait about 1 - 2 feet below a float is the alternative. Worms are working pretty well on the bottom as well but probably more early morning, late evenings.

On the fly pond Kate McLaren is doing the business when there is a nice ripple and was responsible for the majority of catches this week, Culdie's and Hoppers are pretty much responsible for the rest.
